Used as a scientific approach to understanding different behavior, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is a method of therapy used to improve or replace specific behaviors. In simple terms, ABA changes the environment in order to change and teach new behavior. It's not just used to correct bad behavior.
Here at ABA Results, we use our small group sizes, as well as working one-on-one, to increase language and communication skills, social skills, and decrease behaviors that hinder your child's development.
Once your child has been assessed, our Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will create a unique learning/treatment plan with specific goals for your child. As your child progresses, the treatment plan will evolve as well.
We provide parents and caregivers training so therapy techniques taught to your child continue at home to ensure your child generalizes new skills in a variety of environments.
Functional Communication Training (FCT) is the process of teaching meaningful and functional communication in a natural way to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disorders. At ABA Results, we use FCT with both nonverbal and verbal children to increase their vocabularies and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding behavior. ABA refers to a set of principles that focus on how behaviors change, or are affected by the environment, as well as how learning takes place. At ABA Results, we will assess the function of your child's maladaptive behaviors and create a positive Behavior Intervention Plan (PBIP) to teach and reinforce the socially appropriate replacement behaviors.
The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) approach teaches social, motor, group, and verbal behaviors, as well as reasoning skills. ABA treatment is especially useful in teaching skills to children diagnosed with autism who may otherwise not "pick up" these behaviors on their own without direct instruction.
These are just some of the areas we address here at ABA Results.
