What is the ADOS™-2?
The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule™ (ADOS™-2) is a standardized assessment of communication, social interaction, play, and restricted and repetitive behaviors in children.
How does the ADOS™-2 work?
The ADOS™-2 was designed to be used on individuals aged 12-months through adulthood. This assessment is comprehensive and provides great information to clinicians who administer it. Its results are consistently measurable and reliable. This assessment is not fit for someone with significant sensory or motor impairments, such as blindness, deafness or challenging mobility.
The ADOS™-2 is administered with leveled modules, which can accommodate individuals of all ages. Clinicians carefully select the relevant module based on the individual’s language skills, ranging from nonverbal communication to verbal fluency.
Who administers the ADOS™-2?
The assessor who conducts the ADOS™-2 undergoes vigorous training to be qualified to perform the assessment.
